The Borders League is a seven race road running series that takes place in the winter season across Cheshire, Merseyside and North Wales. Runners of all abilities from local clubs compete for both individual and team points in the 8km – 10km races. Each race starts at 11am on Sunday mornings, with the exception of the last race of the season which is on a Wednesday evening.
An ideal series for all club runners to use to improve on their performance with each race and try out road running in the local area. No entry fee for club members.

Summary of discussion at 2020 Borders League AGM in July 2020 (copied from FaceBook)
At the meeting last week the consensus was that there is unlikely to be much racing in 2020 and as such the league should not attempt to put any races on this year.
Options for racing in 2021 were discussed. It was felt that any racing in the early part of 2021 is still in some doubt, and that there is likely to be a log-jam of events and there would be difficulty finding suitable dates As such it was felt that at the moment we should not be planning to stage a Borders League in the season 2020/21. A final decision on this will be made at a meeting to be held in September.
Various options for putting on a couple of events were considered, either one-off races or relays in March or April if conditions are appropriate. These will be considered later.
