Conway Half Marathon

Conway Castle

Ten hardy Tattenhallers paid scant heed to the weather warnings and headed out to Conway for the Half Marathon on Sunday joining around 3500 others for the 13.1 miles from Conwy, round the Great Orme and back again. Although there was pre-race deluge, the weather brightened and though cool, remained dry for the race itself. The race was won by Matthew Bond of Sale Harriers in an impressive 1hr 06 min but Andy Sudlow led Tattenhall home in 33rd position in 1hr 22 min 15 sec. Unfortunately, the tenth member of the team, Alli Grundy, had to pull out with a calf injury and we all wish her a swift recovery.
