This event recognises the best and most consistent all-round runners (male and female) in the club over a nine month period. It is based on a mixture of 10 races (road, trail, cross country and fell), requiring a minimum of 6 races to count. There are two fell races and two cross country races and in order to qualify for the series you must run any two of these four races (highlighted in red in the list below).
In contrast with recent years when an age-related handicapping system has been applied to the championship races it has been decided by the club committee that for 2009/10 points will be awarded in order of finishing position in each race without any age handicap. First male Tattenhall Runner gets 20 points, 2nd 19 points, 3rd 18 points etc, and the same for females.
The points won at each race will be maintained in a spreadsheet that can be seen here.
