If you want to add your own photos and haven't used Flickr before, see the instructions below...
Firstly you must be a member and need to register a free account.
HOW TO SIGN UP TO FLICKR If you haven't already got a Flickr account: Go to http://www.flickr.com/ and hit 'Sign Up'. Sign in with your yahoo account details or simply create one (note you will already have one if you use yahoo, btinternet, hotmail etc)
HOW TO UPLOAD YOUR PHOTOS Select 'Upload Photos' from the 'You' menu Alternatively, download the Flickr uploader from http://www.flickr.com/tools/ - you can then just drag your photos to Flickr - easy!
RESIZING YOUR IMAGES The free Flickr account allows you an upload bandwidth of 20MB each month - this will soon be gone if you upload photos directly from your camera without first resizing them (for instance each photo from a 4 mega-pixel camera is approximately 1MB, so you'd only be able to upload 20 photos a month). Probably the easiest way to re-size photos is to use the "Automatically re-size pictures" option provided by the Flickr Uploader application. 600*450, 640*480 or 800*600 pixels are generally a decent size for online photos.
HOW TO ADD PHOTOS TO THE TATTENHALL RUNNERS GROUP Click on any of the photos you have uploaded. Press 'Send to group'
Or to send a batch of photos to the group:
click on Organize
select the photos to add to the group from the display of all your photos at the bottom of the screen (left-click on the first photo then shift-left-click on the last to select a range).
drag the photos up to the main area of the page
click "Send to group", then click the Tattenhall Runners group in the resulting pop-up.
HOW TO TAG YOURPHOTOS Tagging your photos makes them easily searchable. To make this work well it would be really good if everyone could tag their photos in a similar way. Tag your photos as Tattenhall Runners TYPE YEAR EVENT NAMES (+ any other tags you think are useful) Some examples - Tattenhall Runners 2006 Tough Team or ' Tattenhall Runners 2006 Awards Night If in doubt check out the tags on some photos already in the Tattenhall Runners group.
To tag a batch of photos:
click on Organize
select the photos to add to the group from the display of all your photos at the bottom of the screen (left-click on the first photo then shift-left-click on the last to select a range).
drag the photos up to the main area of the page
click "Add tags", then type in the tags in the resulting pop-up
click the Add Tags button when you're done.
HOW TO SEARCH FOR TATTENHALL RUNNERS PHOTOS Go to the Tattenhall Runners Club Group Type likely tags in the search box like ' Tattenhall Runners 2006' or ' Tattenhall Runners Borders' & press search. You can even just go to http://www.flickr.com and type ' Tattenhall Runners ' to see all results.
ADDING TAGS, COMMENTS AND NOTES TO MTC PHOTOS Once you are a member of the Tattenhall Runners Flickr group you can add tags, comments and notes to any photo in the group, even if you weren't the person who uploaded it. So if you see a photo of yourself and want everyone to know who it is, then add a tag with your name to the photo. Or if you see a photo of one of your mates racing and they're looking like they're enjoying themselves, then add a comment telling them they're clearly not trying hard enough.
